Super Heroes to the Rescue

We were in St George for Halloween and the weather was fantastic. The kids were so cute in their costumes. Brynn even left the head band on for most of the night. We went to my sisters Trunk or Treat and loaded up on candy. Brynn kept trying to give her candy away to the other kids. It was a fun night even if Jon did go golfing.

Pumpkin carving fun.

We were able to carve pumpkins this weekend with Chelsea (sister) Travis (bro in law) and Phoenix (cousin).

This is our finished product. Chelsea and Travis showing us their carving skills.

This is our finished product in the light.

Brighton and Brynn waiting for everyone to get done so we could light them all.

Me and the kiddos.

Brynn giving her pumkin a kiss.
Brighton feeling the gunk inside the pumpkin.

Brynn did not dare to feel the gunk inside. She is a true girl.

Elk Hunt

This year we were able to go to the Elk hunt with Jon down in Blanding. Now I know you are all probably thinking wasn't it cold camping.. Since we got a trailer this year, we were camping in style and no, we were not cold. We had so much fun. Brighton and Jon left on Wednesday and me and Brynn came down on Friday. Brighton was so funny before they left we were helping them get everything ready to go and Brighton was buckled in his car seat and I put Brynn in the truck to play untill they left. Brighton called me over and said, "MOM, get sissy out of here, just me and my dad are going camping." Needless to say he was happy to go on a trip with his dad. Jaycen and Lisa came. Josh and only their little Campbell came. Jed and their whole family came. And we can't forget Goose. Jon was a great hunter this year and he killed his Spike on his first morning out. Brighton was so excited to see what his dad had shot and he was also really excited to poke it with a stick.

This is Brynn enjoying the camping life. She got so dirty.Me and Brynn, this picture is just to prove that I was there.

Lots of games were played.

The kids just playing. Brynns face is so funny.

Our little sis.

Goose and Devyn eating some breakfast.

Three Tate brothers. I dont know where Jed was.

Brynn enjoying her favorite treat of camping, Smores. Yummy.

Brighton, Ashton and Campbell watching Jon chop some wood.

And last but not least...... Jons Spike Elk.

Oh wait, just a few more. Brynn and her dad, trying to keep warm.

Two boys and their smores.
I really had fun on this trip, which I did not think that I would. It was my first time seeing something dead hanging from a tree and then seeing my husband take the hide off the think.. Ew. I hope that we get to go next year.

I at least made it to the car before crying....

It was Brightons first day of Pre-School today. It was so hard for me to leave him, but I did make it to the car before I started crying. He was so excited to go and he really wanted to see the turtle that they have again. He is growing up so fast. He is such a good boy and I am so glad that he is in my life. The funny thing was when we started walking out of the school with out him, Brynn was yelling to him and pointing to him. She loves her big brother.

Blessed

Today I was driving home from swimming with my kids. They were both asleep in the back of the car, so peaceful, safe in their car seats. and I lost it. I can honestly say that I am so happy and I feel so blessed. Stupid Miley Cyrus song....Climb. There are so many things going on in the world and so many of them are bad and sad, but then I just see them sleeping in the back and they just make it all better. Knowing that I have the chance to have them in my life and to be able to take care of them and be with them every day. Knowing that they need me and they rely on me for everything. It is good to be needed and to be loved unconditionally and I get that love 2x. Knowing that I have a husband who works harder than anyone that I know, and he does it becuase he loves us and he wants to take care of us. In my mind I always think to myself .... I can do it, and I don't need help. But I am wrong, and that is the great thing about being in a family, is that you don't have to do it by yourself. Just some stuff that I had on my mind.

My Baby Girl is 1

Can you believe that this.......
turned into this.
My little Brynn has turned 1. She is such a sweetheart. She can walk, go down the stairs by herself, and she loves pizza. I cannot imagine my life without her. She is a good girl. We are so blessed to have her in our life.
